Help & FAQ
Answers to the common questions, and two fast ways to reach a human.
How do I claim my My Castlemaine listing?+
Open your listing page and use the claim link, or follow the claim button in any email we've sent you. It's free and takes about a minute. Once approved you get a private manage link to update your details any time.
My listing has wrong details or the wrong photo+
Claim the listing and you can correct every field yourself, upload your own photo and logo, and unlink any Google data that was matched to the wrong business. If you'd rather we fix it for you, just get in touch below.
What is the Verified tick?+
A Verified tick beside a business name means the owner has claimed the listing and we have checked its details. Claim your listing to get it: once your claim is approved, the tick appears. Verified listings appear above unverified free listings.
Can I see how my listing is performing?+
Yes. Your manage page shows the last 30 days: views and phone taps on every listing, plus website clicks and emails and enquiries on Featured listings. Views only count real visitors who actually see your listing, not bots.
How do I remove my business from the directory?+
Email us or reply to any email we've sent you and we'll remove the listing promptly, no questions asked. If you've claimed your listing, you can also remove it yourself from your manage page.
What does a Featured listing include?+
Top of your category, a Featured badge and highlighted card, the homepage featured section, your Google photo gallery built automatically and kept up to date, and Special Offer and event posts, plus a spotlight post on the MY Directory Network Facebook page. $5 AUD/month or $49 AUD/year with two months free. Upgrade from your manage page.
What is the Founding Member offer?+
Display our badge on your website and get Featured free for 12 months. It's limited to the first 25 businesses on My Castlemaine. Claim your listing, then follow the Founding Member steps on your manage page: paste the badge snippet into your site and hit verify.
How does the photo gallery work?+
Featured listings start with a gallery built automatically from your public Google Business Profile. From your manage page you can take it over completely: upload your own photos (up to 6), remove any you don't want, and your curated gallery is never overwritten. A "Reset to Google photos" button brings back the automatic gallery whenever you like.
What image sizes should I upload?+
For your listing's cover photo, a landscape JPG, PNG or WebP of at least 1200 x 800 pixels looks best. Logos work best as a square transparent PNG, at least 400 x 400 pixels. Don't worry about file size - large photos are resized automatically when you upload them.
My listing is linked to the wrong Google Business Profile+
From your manage page you can unlink the wrong Google data, then search Google for your business by name and click yours to link it - your rating, reviews, photos and opening hours come across automatically. If we can't automatically confirm the profile is yours, we'll review and link it for you within a day.
My business isn't linked to Google at all+
Use the "Link your Google Business profile" search on your manage page: type your business name, pick your listing from the results, and your Google rating, reviews and photos appear on your My Castlemaine page.
I lost my manage link+
Go to the manage page and enter your listing's email address; we'll send your private link straight back to you.
How do I cancel a Featured subscription?+
Open your manage page and use the billing portal link. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period and your listing stays live on the free tier.
Why did I get an email about my business?+
We add local businesses from publicly available information so locals can find them, and we email the contact address a business has published to let them know and offer free control of the listing. Every email has a working opt-out, and removal requests are honoured promptly.
Still stuck? Email listings@mydirectory.network and we'll sort it out.
